Hosting and delivery

The pages are delivered through a hosting and content delivery provider that operates an edge network in Europe. Each request is processed with technical data, in particular your IP address, your browser user agent, the referring page and a timestamp. This is necessary to deliver the pages, to keep the service stable and to defend against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the corresponding provisions of the Swiss Data Protection Act.

Content and media

Articles, images and the constants behind the calculators are stored in our own database and object storage, hosted with Supabase in the EU region eu-west-1 (Ireland). The website only reads from that database. No visitor data is written there by the website.

Fonts

All fonts are self hosted and are delivered from this domain. Your browser sends no request to Google Fonts and no IP address is transferred to Google.

Calculators

The yield and orientation calculators use location specific irradiation data from PVGIS, operated by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. Your browser never contacts that service directly: the request is made by our server, so only our server address reaches the European Commission. The values you enter travel in the address of the page, which lets you bookmark or share a result.

Solar enquiries

The assessment buttons take you to our own enquiry funnel at app.rebeyo.com, operated by the same company as this website. The data you enter there is used to obtain offers for you, which means it is passed on to partner installation companies. That transfer can be commercial, so we may receive a fee for it. The legal basis is your consent, which you give in the funnel, together with the performance of the pre-contractual step you asked for, under Article 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by writing to info@rebeyo.com. The withdrawal does not affect processing that has already taken place.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies of its own and writes no tracking identifiers to your device. Your calculator inputs and your choice of market and language travel in the address of the page rather than in storage. Because nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is stored, no consent banner is required.

Analytics and tracking

As of the date of this notice, the site loads no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising code and no third party scripts. If that changes, this notice will be updated before the new processing starts.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@rebeyo.com.

Retention

Server and delivery logs are kept only as long as they are needed to operate and secure the site, and are then deleted or aggregated. Enquiry data submitted in our funnel is kept for as long as it is needed to handle the request and to meet statutory retention obligations.

Applicable law

Both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the EU General Data Protection Regulation apply, because the operator is based in Switzerland and the audience is European.

Supervisory authority

In Switzerland the competent authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). In the EU and the EEA you can contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or your place of work.
