Solar yield calculator

Enter your location, roof direction and tilt. The calculation uses PVGIS from the European Commission Joint Research Centre, so the yield is location specific rather than a generic factor.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the yield data come from?
From PVGIS, the photovoltaic geographical information system of the European Commission Joint Research Centre. It combines satellite irradiation data with your location, tilt and direction.
What system loss is assumed?
We use the PVGIS default of 14 percent for cabling, inverter, soiling and temperature effects. Shading from trees or buildings is not included.
Why is my roof direction less important than expected?
East and west roofs lose only a modest share of the annual total and spread production across the day, which often raises self-consumption.
