- Where does the yield data come from?
- From PVGIS, the photovoltaic geographical information system of the European Commission Joint Research Centre. It combines satellite irradiation data with your location, tilt and direction.
- What system loss is assumed?
- We use the PVGIS default of 14 percent for cabling, inverter, soiling and temperature effects. Shading from trees or buildings is not included.
- Why is my roof direction less important than expected?
- East and west roofs lose only a modest share of the annual total and spread production across the day, which often raises self-consumption.
